A Photography Shootout: the iPhone 11 Pro vs the Canon 5D Mark IV

April 23, 2020 By Good Glass Leave a Comment

Iphones cameras, or cell phone cameras in general haven’t always given the best quality when it comes to photography. Professional photographers like to have all the bells and whistles that the more professional grade cameras have to offer. Two wedding photographers put the iphone camera to the test and were pleasantly surprised to find out that the pictures that they took actually came out pretty well. Portrait mode has been given an upgrade recently, with this new Iphone 11.

Key Takeaways:

  • The iPhone 11 Pro comes equipped with a telefono lens, a wide-angle lens and an ultra-wide lens.
  • Even with all the new features, however, the consensus among pro photographers is that iPhone pics do not come close to professional grade.
  • Apple’s portrait mode has improved significantly, as past incarnations were prone to leaving blurry edges around the subject.

“While this might not seem like a problem when posting small files on the internet, it becomes more serious if you decide to print your photos, especially if you’re looking to print large.”
